  Reports in Spain suggest Cameroonian avoided paying around £3m in tax during three-year Nou Camp spell from 2006-2009

And El Pais report he owes almost £3million in tax from 2006 to 2009, while he was at the Nou Camp.

As well as the long prison term, prosecutors are demanding he be fined around £12m.

Eto’o is accused of getting around tax through a complicated and illegal image rights structure.

While he also received  around £2m-a-year from Puma.
Meanwhile, Spanish prosecutors are demanding current Barcelona attacker, Neymar, go to prison for five years.
The 24-year-old is accused of fraud of the structure of his transfer from Santos to the Nou Camp in 2013.
DIS — a strategic partner of the Brazilian club — believe they are owed more money as statements show the majority of the transfer fee was given to Neymar’s parents.
And Lionel Messi‘s ongoing court cases have put his Barcelona future in doubt, while Javier Mascherano was also in the dock following accusations of tax avoidance.
